Artists exhibiting with Artistseye Gallery in 2010

Terri Jones
, from Twyford, manages the exhibitions of art for Artistseye. She trained in Oil Painting & Portraiture at Heatherley's School of Art in Chelsea and works from her home studio.
Her paintings have been selected for the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Marine Artists, and won the Best Oil Painting Award at the Chelsea Art Society in 2005.

Terri creates portraits of people & pets, murals and landscapes on a commission basis and landscapes and seascapes which she exhibits. She captures the joy and beauty that she finds in the natural world - she wants to slow time down to allow a really good look at what is there. See www.terrijonesart.com
Andy Breeze, from Reading, has been experimenting with the Airbrush as a medium, trying to create modern and striking paintings which take advantage of the realism and depth offered by such an instrument.  It is a tool with which he says he has a lot to discover and is enjoying the process.
Carol Coates, from Crowthorne, paints figurative work which has strong personal and psychological content often accessed through current affairs, political and global issues. She works instinctively and produces emotional responses to events that reflect her own childhood experiences, hopes and fears.
Caroline Thomson, from Ascot, "I design and create contemporary silver jewellery in my workshop in Berkshire. My work has an organic, textural quality and interesting surface detail inspired by natural forms. I achieve this by using various techniques such as gold fusing, reticulation, hammering, granulation & rolling". See www.carolinethomson.design.officelive.com
Christine Morgan, from Wokingham, is excited by colour and form. She works in stoneware to produce sculptural pots for the home and garden. Recent explorations in glass fusing have led to vibrant, colourful wall pieces, as well as glass to use for all year colour outdoors. See www.brandywineart.co.uk
Dan Dunne, from Reading, trained at Bath Spa University. The subject of his paintings is predominantly abstract figurative. Concepts of process and deconstruction are central to his work. This is shown in the way the image/composition is used and in the methods of execution of the painting. See dandunne.net
Jayne Ward, from Warren Row, trained at Kingston College of Art and worked in the textile industry before becoming an Interior Designer on a freelance basis. In 2008 she was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Jayne's lifelong fascination with fabric, its colour and texture, is at the heart of her work as a textile artist. Her artworks involve machine-stitching, painting and collaging vintage fabrics onto hand-made paper. "I use the sewing machine as other artists would use a pencil".
Julia Hayward, from Marlow, produces colourful and textured kiln-formed glass in a variety of functional and decorative forms. She is constantly inspired by the lines and textures of the natural world: seashells, landscapes, trees and flowers. Most of her work is kiln-cast into hand-made moulds.
Karen Lewis, from Marlow, for those seeking the unusual, the Karen Lewis Designer Collection of bold and opulent jewellery stands out from the crowd. Her unique, interchangeable clasps, which compliment beautiful semi precious stones, can also be worn separately as a pendant - a clever extra benefit. Also check out the stunning Memory Bracelets. See www.karenlewisjewellery.co.uk
Kay Singla, from Gerrards Cross, has been sculpting for over 20 years. Her work is a reflection of happiness, family, love and togetherness. She has exhibited her work at many events and exhibitions locally & nationally. She has participated in the Bucks Art Week with great success. Several of her pieces have been donated and auctioned for charity.
Kirsten Jones, from Wargrave, works from her studio at Barn Acre Gallery in Wargrave where she shows her new paintings and limited edition prints throughout the year.

Kirsten Jones paints quirky collections of objects such as shoes, clothing and crockery as well as imaginary gardens and observed still life.  Using layered fragments of maps, dictionary references and stamps from around the world she creates a beautiful, subtle narrative of secret histories, which evoke a memory or sense of place relating to the work. Each of Kirsten's prints is hand worked, signed and editioned by the artist and comes with a short story that outlines the background to the piece.

Louise Spiers, from Caversham, the culmination of 20 years experience as a multi-faceted Decorative artist has provoked Louise's love of vintage. Objects both worn and ordinary are upcycled into valuable treasures. Each piece is individually selected and reinvented using paper and textile Decoupage techniques or hand-painted finishes. Louise's passion for re-using discarded materials creates unique statement pieces with eco-friendly credentials. See www.kitsch-en-sync.co.uk

Artists who have previously exhibited with Artistseye
Jane Sales, from Henley, is a photographer who is inspired by her travels of the world. Jane currently divides her time between homes in Henley and San Francisco, and has lived in France and the Ukraine in recent years.

Her photographs for The Bull are all about our relationship with food and how we handle and present it, in mouth-watering colour.
Jayne Leighton Herd, from Wokingham, is an artist for whom creative expression is as crucial as breathing! With a background in design, advertising and marketing, she now devotes much of her time to painting "vibrant, textured experiences that satisfy both sight and touch!" Jayne combines her love of texture and metallics with acrylics and inks to communicate, through abstractionism, the vibrancy of nature, cultural diversity & life.

Jayne regularly exhibits her work, as well as undertaking commissions for both commercial and private clients.
Lorna Minton, from Twyford, divides her time as a botanical artist between private commissions, commercial designing and teaching. For eight years she taught botanical flower painting at the Berkshire College of Agriculture, but now runs private courses and workshops.
Lorna is an RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Gold Medal winner. Her watercolour paintings are displayed in The Bull's hotel bedrooms.
Penny Adamson, from Wargrave, was trained in Fine Art at Thames Valley University, Reading.

Much of her work is in response either to the immediacy of her life and surroundings, or on a broader level a reaction to world events or topical issues of debate. The type of artwork made depends on Penny's interpretation of the subject; the medium and process used often being integral to the meaning.
Sally Castle, from Wargrave, was trained in Graphic Design at Maidstone College of Art (now Kent Institute) and then completed her MA in Typeface Design at The University of Reading.

Sally is an innovative designer and illustrator with a reputation for original hand lettering, and a particular interest in environmental lettering - most notable works so far in this area are the Forbury Square stone in Reading, and the Kennetmouth sign. Her work has included book design and illustration, corporate identity and all kinds of printed matter as well as individual commissions.
Sue Milton, from Wargrave, is a local photographer specializing in riverscapes and landscapes.  Sue has exhibited her work at the Henley Exhibition Centre and Wargrave Art Festival.  Sue's images are offered for sale, mounted or framed, in various sizes to suit customer's requirements.
